About Our Initiative

CodeCamp: Bridgerland is a new hackathon located in Northern Utah, hosted at Bridgerland Technical College on July 11-12, 2025. Our goal is to establish an annual summer event that promotes interest in Computer Science and fosters creativity. We aim to strengthen the local economy by creating a space for individuals to network, build connections, learn about educational programs, and strengthen community ties.

This model has proven successful. Two of our board members, Joshua Beitler and Brent Dalling, bring experience from the Southern Utah Code Camp, which started over 15 years ago in St. George and has helped create startups, nurture community, and develop a tech talent pipeline in the region. Today, St. George hosts a Silicon Slopes chapter and a strong tech economy featuring companies like Vasion, Zonos, TCN, and others.

We envision similar growth and opportunities for Northern Utah's technology ecosystem and invite you to be part of this exciting initiative.

We're applying a proven model that has already transformed another Utah community. Two of our board members, Joshua Beitler and Brent Dalling, have extensive experience with Southern Utah Code Camp, which started over 15 years ago in St. George.

This initiative helped create startups, nurture community, and develop a tech talent pipeline in the region. Today, St. George hosts a Silicon Slopes chapter and boasts a robust tech economy featuring companies like Vasion, Zonos, TCN, and others.

We believe that expanding the CodeCamp brand to Northern Utah will create valuable opportunities for participants throughout the state and strengthen the overall impact of our organization's mission. Your support can help us replicate this success in Northern Utah.
