The Ancient Scroll

Brave adventurers, you are summoned to the inaugural CodeCamp Quest on July 11-12, 2025 at Bridgerland Technical College! This two-day adventure welcomes players of all experience levels—from novice apprentices to legendary wizards. Forge games, apps, AI companions, or magical maker projects in a realm of creativity and collaboration.

This is no endless dungeon crawl. Just two 12-hour days of spell-casting, alliance-forming, and realm-building!

THE CALL TO ADVENTURE

Have you dreamed of crafting digital spells and artifacts? Consider this hackathon your enchanted portal! Build whatever magic inspires you while gaining XP and forming new alliances in Northern Utah's tech realm.

ALL CLASSES WELCOME

Open to all skill levels, from novice apprentices to legendary archmages. Bring your unique powers.

PARTY UP OR SOLO

No forced guild assignments here. Form a party with fellow adventurers or brave the challenge as a lone hero.

CREATIVE FREEDOM

Forge any project that enhances your character stats without restrictive quest parameters.

A UNIQUE ADVENTURE

This is about strengthening the realm—not conquering rivals. Join forces, share ancient knowledge, and collaborate your way to legendary status. Newcomers and veterans alike will find mentors and allies to guide them throughout their journey.

YOUR EPIC QUEST

Arrive Friday with a scroll of ideas. Depart Saturday with a magical artifact of your creation. Whether it's a retro-style game, a next-gen app, an AI familiar, or a maker invention, you'll have two full days to craft, enchant, and showcase your powers.

Along your journey, collect experience points in the form of knowledge, alliance bonds, and legendary memories. (And perhaps some digital achievement badges?)

QUEST TIMELINE

Day 1 (July 11): Quest assignment, party formation, adventure start, and training sessions
Day 2 (July 12): Artifact completion, quest showcase, alliance fair, and achievement ceremony

COMPETING DIVISIONS

Teams of 1-4 adventurers will compete within these four divisions. Your team's division is determined by your most experienced guild member. All divisions are free to enter.

YOUNG MAGES

For K-12 students with fresh, high-level spells. These young adventurers bring innovative perspectives and unbounded creativity.

INDUSTRY WIZARDS

For those working in the tech industry in any capacity, including internships. Seasoned professionals seeking exciting side-quests.

HOBBYIST ENCHANTERS

For those at a high school level and/or coding hobbyists hungry for co-op adventures who aren't in a formal educational program.

WIZARDS IN TRAINING

For those taking programming-related classes at a collegiate level or higher who are developing their magical abilities.

Choose your division wisely! Remember that you can form a party with adventurers from any background — your team's division will be determined by your most experienced member.

QUEST MECHANICS

July 11-12, 2025 at Bridgerland Technical College. No predetermined scrolls—choose any quest path. Solo adventure or form a party; quest guides (aka friendly NPCs) will assist your journey. Character classes for all levels ensure every adventurer has their moment of glory.

As your quest reaches its finale on Day 2, the Great Alliance Fair will commence—a gathering where adventurers and guild recruiters forge lasting bonds and discover new opportunities.

GUILD RECRUITERS

Local tech companies seeking talented heroes to join their ranks. Present your completed quest artifacts and demonstrate your magical abilities.

KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE

Share wisdom with fellow questers and collect rare insights from industry archmages during scheduled networking rituals.

FUTURE QUESTS

Discover potential internships, apprenticeships, and employment scrolls to continue your hero's journey beyond the event.

ALLIANCE FAIR SCHEDULE

Artifact Showcase (2:00-3:30 PM): Display your creations to guild recruiters in a structured presentation format
Open Networking (3:30-5:00 PM): Mingle with potential allies, mentors, and employers in an informal gathering
Achievement Ceremony (8:00-9:00 PM): Recognition of outstanding quests and final networking opportunity
